1890's Ball Gown

A project assigned as a part of a directed independent study with Mark Sorensen to create a historically accurate garment.

My design for this gown was inspired by the work of Jean-Philippe Worth. The design was originally made of olive-green taffeta with gold detail. Though, my fabric order was confused, and I was given this red iridescent taffeta instead. In order to make the most of my time frame to create this gown, I recreated the design to better suit the fabric.
